My Turmeric Elixir Recipe

There is a plethora of information extolling the virtues of turmeric, much of which is circulating throughout social media and the web. I will not inundate you with more information – however it is easy to do a rave about this golden spice used of which has been used in Indian cooking for eons, for it indeed is packed full of flavour and enormous benefits to our human system.

What I do want to share is my homemade turmeric drink recipe which I love as a powerful natural health elixir. I drink it as a hot tea daily (twice daily when feeling behind the eight-ball) to keep my physical system at the top of its game.

It is so simple to prepare and costs a lot less than bought natural remedies.

My turmeric health drink recipe

  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • One teaspoon grated ginger
  • One teaspoon grated turmeric (I use the root)
  • Optional – Manuka honey
  • Add to one litre of pure water and refrigerate until ready to use

Add a few tablespoons (you can add more or less to your taste preference) to boiling water and drink like a tea.

That’s it – a simple, powerful natural elixir boasts powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiseptic qualities and is also known to aid the following (not limited to):

  • Lower the risk of heart disease
  • Lower risk of brain disease
  • Help in the aging process
  • Improve brain function
  • Help with depression
  • Help to treat cancer
  • Boost the immune
  • Detoxify the liver
  • Flush the kidneys
  • Aid arthritis

Make your turmeric drink today and give your body a boost from the wonderful benefits of turmeric.
